Axinom Announces multi-DRM API Integration with Amazon Web Services for Live and On-Demand Video Workflows

FÜRTH– May 23, 2018 – Axinom, a leader in software development serving global brands in media and entertainment, announced today an API integration between its Axinom DRM, multi-DRM (digital rights management) service and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Elemental MediaConvert and AWS Elemental MediaPackage. The API integration enables customers to securely deliver premium live and on-demand video content to users by leveraging the robustness, efficiency, and reliability of cloud technology.
The interoperability enables media companies, content right owners, and over-the-top (OTT) providers to quickly start streaming premium content on any type of digital device, applying multi-DRM protection to live and on-demand content generated by AWS Elemental MediaConvert and AWS Elemental MediaPackage. API integration between Axinom DRM and AWS Media Services provides customers with a scalable and cost-effective way to process and package video content into various formats, reducing the need for multiple content packagers and lowering management complexity while promising a better user experience across all modern devices.
AWS Media Services are a family of fully-managed services that make it easy to build reliable, broadcast-quality video workflow on the cloud. Pay-as-you-go pricing and fully-automated resource scaling let users easily handle any sized audience without upfront capital investments. AWS Elemental MediaPackage creates video streams formatted to play on connected TVs, mobile phones, computers, tablets, and game consoles. AWS Elemental MediaConvert is a file-based video transcoding service that allows users to easily create video-on-demand (VOD) content for broadcast and multiscreen delivery at scale.

It supports Microsoft PlayReady, Google Widevine, and Apple FairPlay Streaming.
