FFW Wins ZDF Contract With Axinom as a Partner
Fürth, 20.04.2022. Axinom, a solutions provider for modern video streaming backends, to work with FFW, the agency for digital platforms, for the largest European broadcaster ZDF. The Europe-wide tender was granted to FFW and will be concluded as a framework agreement for a maximum of five years with ZDF. The order includes the further development and operation of the 3sat, ZDFtivi, and ZDFmediathek, as well as ZDFheute.

Backend Built on Modern Technology
"A crucial consideration for the tender was the technical capabilities of the involved participants. The plan to expand the ZDF and ARD media libraries into a streaming network and a large content cosmos also plays a further important role. "We’re really looking forward to this challenge," stressed both Antonijevic and Meyer from FFW.
FFW will also be supported by other specialists who will cover part of the range of services: Condat, a specialist for the CMS Sophora and Java-based service architectures, as well as the Java and Google Cloud specialists by HBT.
